• The best .NET database for sure. Fantastic for ASP.NET!

  Pros

  Eloquera allowed to store all data objects in my app in one go. It stores data and also creates no-hassle data layer in any.NET application. And using SQL I could get my objects (partially or completely) back in a fraction of second. A real must-have

  Cons

  Not popular with ASP.NET hosting providers, though VPS are cheap now (Eloquera runs on 256-512 MB system easily). Not free for commercial use (free for commercial developers).

  Summary

  After writing tons of code for SQL Server, and trying other object databases (real slowcoaches!), Eloquera looks like a breeze of fresh air. Fantastic query language supports JOINs for objects, but normally you don't need it as you can query objects using values of its properties, and its child object properties, and so on. I would recommend Eloquera database for any developer team using .NET. It is good for ASP.NET and desktop applications. It will cut development times 2-3 times, even more. And it is cheaper than MySQL (with the support), let alone MS SQL. And it saves a lot of time, literally months, and costs only a weekly wage of a developer.

  With that DB it took me 30 minutes what would usually take 5 to 6 hours on MySQL. Pretty cool!
