  Easy to download historical financial data directly into Excel. There are several tools to help make the most of the historical data, including a charting tool for multiple securities, an interactive financial statement viewer, and a factor analyzer.

  Summary

  This product is an Excel add-in, so it is easy to use if you are comfortable with Excel. Historical financial data from sources such as Yahoo and Google can be imported into Excel with just a few clicks, and not just price data. Fundamental data (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) and dividends can be imported too. There is also a nice charting tool for single or multiple securities. Users can plot spreads and ratios of two instruments, and even plot fundamental trends (e.g. net income, sales, etc.) concurrent with prices. A unique financial statement viewer allows comparison of multiple companies side-by-side, and all of the data points are visualized with the integrated financial statement chart. A single click exports fundamental data into an Excel spreadsheet and users may even build custom financial statements (e.g. an abbreviated income statement). For more advanced users, there is a factor analysis tool for building multi-factor linear models to uncover influential drivers of an investment. For example, a 2-factor model of the XLE might be the S&P 500 and crude oil (as represented by SPY and OIL). The model shows how XLE has been historically influenced by those two factors. A standard Excel formula, similar to SUM() or AVERAGE() can be used to access all of the available data directly in a spreadsheet. This makes it easy to create investment models which will update automatically as new data are available. Overall, this is a user-friendly add-in for quickly accomplishing some common (and not-so-common) investment-related analyses. And it's free, so there's nothing to lose.
