EasyWMA can be helpful if you need to play wma files on your iPod, or if you need to convert files created by your Olympus voice recorder. EasyWMA has a very simple user interface, full drag and drop support, and can even do batch processing to convert your whole library of wma songs in one click. It's also super easy to install: just a simple application to drag and drop on your harddisk.
As soon as I opened this download, my open browsers restarted with completely new settings and some spammy toolbar stuff installed.
Also, the free version let's you listen to 15 seconds of the converted file, which is obviously useless.

Pros
Couldn't figure out if it was good or not.
Cons
It might be a good product, but it cannot be properly evaluated. The demo version only allows 15 seconds of audio to be converted.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
After reading some of the reviews on this product, I was skeptical, but so far it has worked for me. I have a bunch of .wma files that carried over from my use of Windows Media Player when I used to use a PC. None of these files are protected; I had no problem using EasyWMA. All you have to do is drag and drop the .wma files into the program and it converts them (this takes about 1 minute per file, but runs without supervision. For $10 your really can't beat it.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Sorry, but my review was too fast and too euphoric. My files seem to be DRM protected (as most files you download officially are!) and EasyWMA failed in converting these files. So nice try, but useless for me.
Try your files with the free preview version of the software first before you invest 10 USD.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've got a bunch of wma files that I want to convert to mp3. I searched in vain for a free converter, and finally I found this program which got positive feedback on various sites.
Alas, it can't convert my files. NONE OF THEM!
Here's what it CANNOT convert, as is indicated IN THE FAQ section of their website, not (where it should be), before you purchase it.
1. If the file is "encoded with an unsupported or unknown codec". (How am I to know which??)
2. If the file is DRM protected.
3. "EasyWMA does not support the wma lossless and wma voice codecs for now."
Essentially, EasyWMA can convert only whatever it can. If it doesn't, you're out of luck. You have no way of knowing what it can and what it can't convert.
I would expect more from a program that purported to be able to converted wma files to mp3..
Also - the reviewer before me is right - it cannot converted mp3 into wma. C'mon..
Absolutely not \"EasyWMA\"

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
A presumed that as this program accepted WMA as input, that it would be able to 'downsize' these for output. I have some large WMA files (interviews) that I need to reduce in size -- I hoped to be able to use EasyWMA to do this... I mean, you'd think so -- given the program's name!
After purchasing a copy (the demo is so hamstrung as to be totally useless), I find it does not output to WMA format.
Utterly, utterly, utterly crap.
Command-delete; Empty trash.
