This easy-to-use program lets you process images, convert file formats, and capture screens. Easy Graphic Converter can convert pictures among a number of formats, including JPEG, BMP, ICO, and TIFF. We like the clean user interface, preview windows, and unlimited levels of undo and redo. The application boasts a library of more than 50 effects and filters, including choices such as fish-eye, emboss, and swirl. The appearance of each effect can be adjusted using handy sliders and a preview window. However, if you need more utilitarian editing implements for cropping, resizing, or removing red-eye, you'll need to look elsewhere. Tools for capturing screenshots, windows, icons, and buttons make Easy Graphic Converter a useful Web-surfing app, as does its small memory footprint. This unregistered version has full functionality, but stamps save images with a watermark. Active Web surfers and photographers with a creative slant will find this program worth considering.
