Pros

Packed with info: There is a lot of information packed into this app, and it's well organized, so you can quickly find what you're looking for. The app is designed as a resource and reference source, and it includes a feature that guides you through creating a plan for your family to follow in an emergency situation.

Quizzes and badges: To see how well you've absorbed the information in the app and prepared yourself for an earthquake, you can take some short quizzes included in the app. When you pass the quizzes, you earn badges, and you can share your accomplishments with your friends and family.

I'm safe message: Even if the power is out, you'll be able to let your designated recipients know you're safe directly through the app. Just set up contacts for your message, and include an optional personalized message if you choose. Then you can let your friends and family in other areas know you're OK with just a tap.

Cons

Shelters limitations: There is a Shelters tab that shows you where emergency shelters are set up in your area after an earthquake. But since these shelters don't exist ahead of time, there's no way to include them in your plan. And if there's no power or limited phone service after an earthquake, you may not be able to load the current shelter list.
