Download it right now, Drumbeat 2.0 is now the best piece of peer to peer software for Mac you may desire. I use Mac Os 9.2.2 and it works great! With Drumbeat, you'll get the greatest deal of results in searching any kind of files (sometimes in less than half a second!), which you can't get with other p2p applications. Drumbeat is very stable and has got amazing features like inner files preview (you don't need to open any other app to do it!), files resume, users chat, useful search filters, etc... And please believe me: GroundLevel customer care service is nothing less than EXCELLENT!!! Any question or help you may need, just contact them and you'll see...   When trying to set this up, I IMMEDIATELY got a screen telling me the 15-day free trial was up, and the only way I could use it was by registering! RIP OFF!!!

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Drumbeat 1.6.5, a commercial version, functions as a beta, full of bugs and problems. As mentioned elsewhere, it will delete files with the same filename. It lacks help which has been promissed on their site for eons and downloading files is a nightmare in user unfriendliness and time. The only nice feature is the number of servers/files it opens for potential download. But with all these problems not worth your money.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Just downloaded the app and was forced to quit much of my running software to accomidate the heavy 50 MB requirement, then upon launching and typing a search (1) my streaming music shut down (2) my chat windows froze and (3) the application eventually locked up the entire system. Give me a break, everyone chats and listens to music when stealing... And you want me to pay for this?!

  Drumbeat is a horrible program, It found very few files and downloaded non of them. I though it could just be the computer, but when it failed on 3 others I decided it was trash. It crashes often and eats up alot of memory. The interface is difficult to work with, and buggy. Furthermore, the author of this program expects users to pay for something that can be used to steal the work of others? I think not, not untill we get some quality. Do not download it, look for an alternative.

  needs to do more...downloads should be persistent, we need an ignore option in chat, lots of other small things that would make a big difference. Overally though pretty good...what is there, works well, Ive had more downloads than I ever did with any of the classic alternatives and it was very easy to use.
