DJ 2000 is an MP3 application system that plays, organizes, and manages your digital audio files. DJ 2000 supports removable media and dynamic file locations, as well as Creative Labs' Nomad portable MP3 player. Other features include a playlist manager that can import and export playlists, ID3 tag editing tools, and more. DJ 2000 is now Windows 2000-compatible, features an extended tag system, and has player and bar view enhancements. This version features enhanced backup and restore functions and fixes some bugs.
I thought it was suppose to support Nomad MP3 players...it doesn't!

This program (Full Ver) is great but could use an update, certainly a must have for any MP3 fanatic.

Summary
I have been using the full version for a while with more than 11,000 songs and I love it.
The good:
All your MP3's are listed on the left side in a library list and the playlist is on the left. This allows you to easily to add songs to your playlist. The Library list can be searched by artist, album, title, genre and all. It can organize the listing by the before mentioned. You can also just the list the MP3's by there starting character, like all songs starting with an 'A'. This is great for people with plenty of MP3's.
You can edit the MP3 tag info which is great and also rename the song.
The program doesn't use more and more memory as it is running. I have had it running for a week on a PII 266MhZ PC without problems.
You can shuffle the playlist, which is great if you add goups of songs from an artist.
The program can add songs automatically play songs once it runs out of songs on the playlist. You can select which genres the songs should come from. Songs can also be automatically deleted once played.
Many other features as top 100, restore, report, different skins and others are included.
The bad:
The program has some stability issues. It tends to hang up once in a while. Especially when updating the library and editing the playlist.
Time, Genre and Album are missing from the library and playlist listings, just Artist and Title are listed. Especially the song time is a nice feature a DJ program should have. It would be nice if the user can select what info he wants in the library and playlist and change the order in which they are listed.
For a DJ program it would be nice if you can choose to fade in and out between songs and how much and how long of a fade should be applied when changing between songs.
The addition of an equalizer would be great.
The genre listing is limited to an older version of the ID3 tags.
The program does take up quit some memory. The sound quality gets often bad when you run other programs
For a payed program the design could use a little update. It is simple design, mostly text based.

The demo version shows promise but unfortuneatly w/o being able to use 1/3 of my library it has a serious draw back for the thrifty user. Don't download this unless ur willing to pay for the full version
