Ditto (64-bit) is a clipboard extension that automatically stores everything you copy so that you can access all of your clips later on. You can sort your clips into groups, search through the app for specific segments or keywords, and make use of multiple hot keys to make copying and pasting easier than ever.

This app runs minimized in the taskbar on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen, and as soon as you have it installed, you're ready to go. Just copy highlighted items as you normally would by pressing CTRL+C, and the item you copied automatically shows up in a numbered list that you can access by right-clicking on the icon in the taskbar. You can use the arrow keys to scroll down the list, or you can click on an item to select it. Then just paste it as you normally would into any window that supports that function. To view your options for each entry on the list, right-click on it and select what you want from the menu that appears. For instance, you would use this feature to move a clip into a particular group or to create a new category group of clips.

You can choose to have the Help screen open with the app when you install it to help you get a feel for all of Ditto's features, or you can play around a bit to discover them on your own. The interface of this app is highly streamlined and intuitive, and it works just as intended. The app is useful and free, and it also supports sharing of clips over a network so that you can access them from multiple computers.

This can be alife-saver at times and, once you've been used to its convenience, you will never look back and go without it. I tried quite a few clipboard managers as this is the kind of application that every person has a different opinion about what would work best for them. The user interface, how you select a clip, paste it, if it's obtrusive or not, whether it gets in your way more than it helps you. I've settled for this one as it is highly customisable (more options than you will even need to be honest) so that you can tailor it to your needs and how you're used to working.Even languages, themes etc are all customisable. You can't go wrong here. It uses SQLite as its database for all your clips.
Cons
It may be a little bit aesthetically deprived, although it has improved a lot during the last few releases.
Summary
The best clipboard manager tool out there in my opinion. Not because it does things "my way" but simply because I can customise it to do things whoever's way I want to.

The main problem is that you can't keep it in screen. Once you paste something from it, it disappears and you have to go to the system tray to bring it up again.

Easily saves all your frequently used phrases, etc. This is an extreme productivity booster for me. It is one of the first programs I install when I get a new computer.

Pros
Remembers both images and large quantities of text. Saves the 'workaround' hack of pasting something into a notepad so that you can copy and paste something different. The full history of everything copied since Ditto was installed is searchable and ordered by date so it's very easy to find specific items even if they were weeks ago. Lightweight and unobtrusive.
Cons
Doesn't backup bespoke clipboard events within specialised programs, although this isn't really an huge issue, because I rarely want to repeat these actions. Doesn't come with windows as a default. ;)
Summary
This is one of the first programs I install on a new computer, unlike many other programs which I install but rarely use, this is one of the few which always makes the cut. It's a simple concept done very well, and I no longer have to have windows open with floating bits of text, or worse, dig through pages/documents trying to find that link or piece of text which I forgot was in clip memory. Love it!

Pros
Ditto remembers the last x amount of copies. So say you copied a url some hours back and you want to paste it somewhere again? No problem. Want to rewrite a text by moving paragrahs? Just cut them all and paste them back in the right order. Sometimes I just paste some text I'm writing so I have it ready for later or as backup. Fantastic tool that once you get used it you will not ever want to miss. I already made lots of friends addicted too.
Cons
Program acts weird every now & then (like once a month) but a simple restart of it brings it back without problems.
Summary
A fantastic clipboard manager that saves you a lot of time and can prevent a lot of irritation. Believe me, try it.

Despite the fact that sometimes it won't erase the entries past one day, I wouldn't change it for anything else. Great program that I can't live without. Very easy to use.
