Pros
It found thousands of images. The algorithm isn't the strongest, and many of the files were useless, but - it find many, many images - and many that were very usable. Worth giving a try.
Cons
As some others have mentioned, it's all or nothing - so you will get damaged files, thumbnails, and assorted whatnot.

Useful. Not the most powerful, but for FREE, it's great.

I accidentally deleted photos from my memory stick. I downloaded MagicCute Date Recovery, which was supposed to be free - it found the lost photos, but then wouldn't let me have them unless I paid a $25 fee. Then I downloaded MiniTool Power Date Recovery, another free program - it couldn't even find the pictures. So then I tried Digicam Photo Recovery. It was free, took about 2 minutes to download and start - another 3-4 minutes to find my deleted picture files and load them onto my computer. Amazing!! You can't go wrong with the program!

Summary
I had a CF corrupted with 55 photos. Camera and PC didn't recognize the drive(or the CF), always saying it needed to be formatted. Installing Digicam PR was quick and easy. It immediately found the drive (CF was on a card reader) and I just had to choose the destination folder. It got back my photos in 2 minutes or less. Perfection!!! Real happy with this one!

Was terrified, as i've deleted my precious pictures and no program was able to restore them. Tried Digicam Photo Recovery and it worked right away! Got all my pictures back!!!

Summary
You can't select individual photos you want to recover - it's all or none. A big drawback is, at present, the program will only recover photos from removable drives. I transfer photos from my camera's removable drive to my computer hard drive for storage and viewing. In doing so, the space on my camera's card is available for additional photos; meaning the previously occupied space is rewritten with new data. Recovering only from a removable drive, in the instance cited above, limits the program's usefullness (to me). One would be wise to wait until the developer increases the program's ability to recover from a hard drive. Presently a better choice for capturing deleted photos, and other files, is Recuva (free). In it's present form, I feel the program has very limited functionality.

Pros
This is a very good program, still in Beta, but for the recovery of photos it really is on-par with the best! Can recover deleted and formatted cards, and even accurately recover fragmented files. Really, it's just as accurate as PhotoRec (best of the best), but MUCH easier to use. Very intuitive interface, shouldn't even need directions to use i.e. where's the card with the lost files, and where do you want to save the recovered files? Can't be any easier.
Cons
It's still in Beta, thus there still are some minor glitches. If it looks like its stuck trying to update, just ignore this and proceed with the recovery. Can currently only recover photos, although the publisher is working on an updated future version with more filetypes. Very thorough scan, but it is slow, so might let it run overnight for many GB recoveries.
Summary
If you're just looking to recover lost photos, get this. If it doesn't recover your photos, I doubt any other program will. Best of all, IT's 100% NO-FOOLING FREE! (But I can see this going payware some day).
