Think the world is a mess? Try running your own nation. Democracy casts you as the president of a country, and challenges you to make enough people happy to win reelection. A serious political and economic simulator, it provides a real taste of the complexity of balancing policy interests. The game's interface is well designed, and provides an in-game tutorial that makes learning easy (real politicians should have it so good). The graphics are clear, if unambitious, and background music gives gameplay a pleasant boost. In our tests, it did crash once while switching screen resolutions, but otherwise functioned well. If you're a political junkie, or a student of modern democracy, this game might be worth the download.

Pros
Great detailed simulator. Watch for a major company knocking on their door. This is probably the first game of this kind and it sets a high standard for others to follow
Cons
Unfortunately, the game starts you from a lame duck position ( ps. if you don't know what it means, don't try to play the game ). This greatly detracts from the beauty of the game ... unfortunate.

Pros
Best political strategy game I have ever seen, in fact it's the *only* game that actually deals with the issues, rather than just the campaigning. Highly recommended
Cons
nothing

Pros
Fantastic game, with lots of depth, if you have even a vague interest in politics or what it takes to run a country, then this is fantastic fun. Its no flashy-looker, but for people who prefer gameplay to whizz-bang graphics, this is well worth the small download.
