How to PlayDave - On the bottom left you have a joystick. Use it to run along the mansion. Hit the blue button on the right to jump over fires and walls. Two new buttons are added on the right side for using your carbine to fight the monsters and for your jetpack which will be added after you collect the carbine power and the jetpack power in the levels.
