It's unbelievable that it has so many negative reviews here, but i just use it to restore my PDF files successfully, and to prevent a second data loss, i back up my data before recovery process.Fortunately, i works well.

I try the tool for many PDF files. It seems works with old version of PDF files, such as 1.3, 1.4. But not always work for new versions, such as 1.6, 1.7

Passed it a 10MB file for repair. It produced a file 2MB in size deleting the remaining 11 chapters of the pdf and even what it recovered was riddled with scrambled text

Easy to use, fast and it did exactly what I wanted to accomplish. That is it gave me a functional PDF back.

Have to pay to obtain a recovered file but if it shows in preview what you will get that is what you will get. Wish it would allow or provide a detailed report somehow whether it addressed the not so visible pdf corruptions i.e. to say if it will print or not.
Summary
For all those extremely unhappy reviewers of this software that have completely corrupted files chances are that this tool won't recover your already destroyed information. What this tool really does well is that it fixes corrupted PDF files that otherwise won't let you print, extract, save or for that matter let you do anything but possibly view them or part of them. This tool worked for me and it saved me money by getting back a pdf file into a working and usable state where Adobe Pro X couldn't. So once more based on my experience, and with a sense of what it means to truly loose valuable data due to a corrupt drive, this tool is not a magic wand that will get your file back to a previous state 100%. It will do what it can and will at least allow you to use the pdf and regain use of the file itself. If anybody has worked in graphic design or has a collection of pdf archives that can get corrupted this will help you where other softwares won't. Backup is always the best prevention. Don't bash a software that at least tries to help you, be constructive in criticism.
