One of many computerized updates of the classic Othello, Daisy Reversi makes for an old-fashioned but well-designed game. The experience will be familiar to anyone who has played any Othello variants over the years. Players place colored pieces on a tiled board, aiming to capture more tiles than an opponent. If a line of one player's pieces is surrounded by the opposing color, then the entire line is converted into the opponent's pieces. The game ends when all pieces are converted into a single color, or when the whole board is filled.

Free versions of this game are quite common, but this shareware version offers many different board and piece themes; varying levels of computerized opposition; a detailed help system with highlighting of possible moves; a game history; and a variety of other small options and game tweaks. The graphics are cute without being flashy. Strategy and logic game fans may find this feature-rich game a welcome update to simpler versions, although the price tag likely will make many balk.
