Create your own FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, or WebDAV server.
CrushFTP handles FTP, SFTP (SSH FTP), FTPS (FTP over SSL), HTTP, HTTPS, WebDAV, and WebDAV SSL. WebDAV allows you to use the OS X Finder to connect to the server and work on it as if it were another hard drive on your machine. Read, write, rename. all with WebDAV. The built in fully customizable WebInterface allows you to present a website to customers so they can easily upload files to you, or download files to you. It has support for drag and drop uploading on the Web site, as well as the ability to upload folders while zipping them on the fly. This saves time and bandwidth. Or you can use the browser uploader to queue up file transfers and submit them all at once. Easily setup e-mails to come to you when a user uploads a files. You can drag and drop folders on a user to grant them access to the folder. The user will then only be able to access that folder. Lastly, the plugin support for CrushFTP allows for a whole new set of expandable features. Includes extensive logging options and auto ban usernames features.
Great for trasnferring files securely from Windows

Pros
Huge amount of functionality, easy to set up, great support.
Cons
Yet to find any.
Summary
I needed to implement a secure method of transferring files from a windows server to various remote locations, running different OS's. SFTP was the obvious choise, but having no Linus experience my head was spinning after spending time on the web reviewing various recommended implementations of cygwin / openssh etc. So I went for something out of the box. I tried a few and found them complex and/or lacking any customer support. CrushFTP works really well, should be easily set up - I ran into a few difficulties but got amazing support from the developer, and have it set up running as a service now without any further problems. A fine piece of software!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
We just went from an old clunky FTP to Crush - it's robust, works well with others regardless of OS flavour, and is more than powerful enough for our needs.

We will be using this as an absolute workhorse - we're an architectural firm pushing larger and larger BIM files all the time (as well as image files and documents) and ease-of-use and platform agnosticism are mission-critical, as is stability and uptime - the name of the game in our field these days is collaboration, and CrushFTP has just made that far easier for us.

More critically, Ben Spinks, the developer, provides absolutely second-to-none support - both via email and via remote if needed - he's fast, effective and very professional... I am simply floored.

I cannot possibly recommend Ben too highly after this - absolutely nonpareil.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I purchased CrushFTP with a 50-user license for my companies Mac Mini Server. I have 40 plus users that logon to this Server for our Intranet Wiki Web Pages and a Web Help Desk. I needed somehow to share files over the Internet. What I found interesting about Ben's product is the versatility and heard about the great support. I needed to maintain and re-use my DLAP users and passwords and hopefully find an FTP program that handles DLAP Authentication. CrushFTP does support DLAP Authentication among other great features.
What I found unique about CrushFTP is that I could mount remotely and securely my Mac Mini Server's second volume containing files and folders via the Internet and that the files inside could be opened and saved from the server so other users could access and see the new changes. There are many different ways accessing, uploading and downloading files using CrushFTP. This program also has several reporting options. One report I like is monitoring files and folder that let's you know who's altered what files.
I will admit I had some issues understanding the DLAP configuration. Ben supported me all the way on this one.
Thanks Ben

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I am using crushftp since a long time and I went through two upgrades. Any time, the support provided by Ben has extremly prompt and intens. Unbelievable for this price.
The E-Mail event feature (for me) is one of the really distinguishing features; but it is the complete picture of functionallity, that makes CrusFTP so recommentable.
nice app great support

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The support is the best of any dev, I have contacted. the program is easy to use and set up .. a little over whelming to new users. I went with Rumpus only for the fast that it seemed to be a little easier to set up and that the web interface was fast and easy to explain. Crush FTP is loaded with option and I can not think of anything else I would add to an ftp server, it has it all. Ben the dev, is really a nice and helpful person..
If you are new to FTP server I would say, look at rumpus, if you are advanced, no where else to look but here. Crush FTP is really the Sh*t when it comes to a fully working and advanced FTP server.. and the price is great as well
very very nice solution
