Used CrashPickup for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This handy freeware grabs and analyzes crashed program minidump data. Crash Pickup lacks an interface, but uses a simple error dialog when it's called up by a program crash. A novice could easily install and operate Crash Pickup, but the program's analysis maybe be too complex for less than experienced users.
Crash Pickup stays in the background waiting for program to fail. When properly invoked the app displays a simple error message dialog requesting permission to send information to the publisher's Web site. Users can easily add an optional comment and email address. Clicking Send opens a second dialog that lists a tracking number and URL. It takes just a click to save the tracking number to your clipboard. However, an option to open the browser to the correct URL failed during testing. Manually opening the URL and inserting the tracking number takes just a few seconds though.
The free minidump analysis lists the primary crash explanation, problem executable, and selected modules that may have contributed to the crash. During testing Crash Pickup's analysis was keen, but information is very dependent on how common the crash problem.
Crash Pickup uses little system memory, works well, and any minidump analysis is helpful to the experienced user. This is an app intermediate and expert users will be happy to install.
