Following up on the initial Containment Initiative release from independent games developer Gwyn Games, episode 2 is packed with features that make it as engaging and unique as the first installment. Known for their expertise in Virtual Reality experiences, Gwyn Games’ VR updates for CI 2 are centered around tasks to build ammo supply. Players must now find ammo and supplies to sustain their battles, and VR players are now able to produce their own equipment and gear.

Weapons have leveled up beyond sourcing them during missions to include the option of additional higher-caliber weapons. These are accessible via CI 2’s supply drop system. Players can balance their economic picture and take a chance on a supply drop, which will issue new weaponry and ammunition. However, the supply drops can self-destruct, inundating the zone with zombies.

The aesthetic has been advanced for CI 2, with new additions like recoil effects and animation improvements, amping the authenticity of the simulation in service to gameplay. Beyond that, the sequel now features randomized objectives that refresh for each mission. It’s all part of the package to make Containment Initiative 2 one of the most dynamic co-op games available.
