Backups are stored in compressed format in your device and your iCloud account. So even you have not synced them to any server they are safe.Backup files are accessible from iTunes file sharing. You can also send Backups to your mail id as .VCF format. Which is a widely used format to transfer or store Contacts. Restore the contacts from our app or from the .VCF file you have mailed yourself.
