Draws everything from flowcharts to complex engineering schematics. Compatible with MS Visio files.
ConceptDraw PRO exports to most popular graphic formats, including Microsoft® Visio® 2013 (.vsdx) and PowerPoint® (.ppt), Adobe® PDF and SWF, as well as .svg, .jpg, .png, and more. ConceptDraw PRO lets you visualize ideas and data as diagrams, communicate through presentations and varied export options, and meet business-specific needs via the modular extensibility available in the ConceptDraw Solution Park. Multiple built-in presentation modes, easily customized printing options, and powerful export capabilities, allow you to communicate effectively with any audience. ConceptDraw PRO templates and their associated libraries enable you to quickly get started making the drawing or diagram you want to make. Library objects can be customized and saved for later use. You can customize the scaling, color, line weight, label, and even the fill pattern of an object to use in later drawings and diagrams.

cogeniac
Pros
Good toolset, and intuitive workflow. Great "Inspectors".
Cons
Very buggy. Crashes often.
The all time worst feature is the "Arrows 10" technology that has added a bizarre automatic object connection feature. The problem is that this feature is a) buggy, and b) the default for every object. You can turn it off, but you have to do this for literally every line you draw. The feature is supposed to allow you to automatically connect lines to objects. It originally started as a hover and attach type feature, so if you dragged a line end over a connector on an object a blue X would appear and unblocking would attach the line end to the connector. Some doofus at CS odessa apparently decided if a little of that is good, more must be better. The new version has this feature set up the other way around. If you drag an object over a line it will often randomly attach the line to the object. This results in an almost unusable product that is regularly re-drawing your drawing!
Summary
A great product that has aged badly, and just gotten worse over time CD 6 Pro was a work of art. This is a piece of junk. I was surprised to find that the Version 10 update did not include any disclosure that it was a PAID update..so once I did the update my license was no good. I decided to pay for it, and then found that the update with this silly connection behavior basically makes the product unusable. Heading off to find a better and more stable product
Converts Visio but not without errors. Crashes a lot.

Summary
Have tested conceptdraw on the advice of colleague and I am very impressed with it, as it helped me when I've started my new position. I was looking for how to make vehicular networking diagram and found it with Conceptdraw pro. I'm on Mac now and use windows laptop as well, so for me the ability of ConceptDraw to work on both is priceless.
Excellent diagramming product
DaisyCh
Pros
I'm using this product everyday mostly for workflow diagramming. With the rapid draw technology for process charts I can do a nice diagram in a few clicks. Every month they release new updates for templates. I'm also using single license on my mac and windows computers, excellent product and service!
Cons
I wish to have a chance to make read only files.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I know that many people have provided very positive feedback on this new version. It's true that the features make it a great product idea.
But the devil is in the details and although I've provided a number of detailed messages to Concept Draw, a lack of any acknowlgement tells us that things are busy at CD.
The product crashes when standing still. It crashes when you try to export .swf file formats. it gives you a blank screen when you ask for help.
Now add the fact that it's almost impossible to figure out how to get your toolbars to remain onscreen and even more impossible to get your templates library to remain onscreen or even load with a document. This app just isn't intuitive, doesn't measure up to Mac standard UI, and seems to be a great application idea poorly executed.
Now CD will write this off to an inexperienced user gone wild, but in this case I'm a systems engineer with software and systems background and over 10 years of Mac history. So I know how to make sure that my platform or SW system isn't the problem. I've cleanup up my OS, re-installed the application, trashed preferences, etc. etc. all the normal stuff you would try to clean up the behavior of an application - way over the top for what a normal user is going to do to make a new application run they just paid commercial prices for. A big dissappointment.
I liked this program

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Well, after using ConceptDraw V for 4 months I can say that I like it a lot. Have read the comments below and wonder - I haven't had any problems with support, all their responses were timely and I appreciated the fact that they valued my opinion on what has to be done to improve the product. I find the amount of templates and libraries just great. So far I have been using it for diagramming business process development and creating diagrams for reports. I had several minor problems, one by installation. The support staff was very helpful as I asked them that I needed help really soon. Since the first diagram that I made with CD V I presented the next day to my team, I thought that I would need much more time to create it and to get used to the product. Well, to my disbelief it took me about 20 min to do it.
Right now I think that this software is indispensable for my work.
In the whole I would say that this product was worth its money and I'm seriously considering a multi-user purchase for my team.
Lots of potential; lacks 'finished product'...

...refinement
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
By and large, the product performs as advertised and does what it sets out to do -- provides a competent drawing program with comparable functionality to Visio (and some new interesting ideas as well). But it seems rife with technical glitches and stability problems; it lacks nuanced user interface details; and overall it is missing the fine-tuned elegance of form and behavior that most users have come to expect in products like those from Adobe, Macromedia, et al.
Admittedly, those finely tuned products are expensive by comparison, but it's difficult to assess what reliability, performance, and a good user experience are really worth. In summary though, I can't recommend Concept Draw Pro for the price.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
My experience has been quite different from that of the reviewers who gave this application 5 stars. By the way, once again this is a case of people who have not reviewed anything at VersionTracker giving software 5 stars. Den74 thinks ConceptDraw is better than Graffle and doesnâ??t have any serious bugs. I had OMNI Graffle and now use OMNI Graffle Pro, and unless thereâ??s a different Graffle out there, I donâ??t know what heâ??s talking about. One of the reasons I decided to try ConceptDraw V was to save some time since a lot of ConceptDrawâ??s pre-existing templates seemed to be very useful. I was particularly interested in their templates for project management. So far this program has been a disappointment, and is in no way near the level of OMNI Graffle in terms of quality or support.
My experience has also been different than hhongâ??s experience. I asked a couple of questions a week ago, and have not received any satisfactory responses. I did receive a reply 2 days ago asking me for information that I had already provided, and this information was actually included in the email they sent me!â?¨One of the questions actually dealt with a bug, since some text and objects disappear from my screen when I drag them. For me that is a serious bug, since itâ??s a bit difficult to work when objects disappear from the screen.â?¨I donâ??t know how it compares to Visio since I have never used it. I created some diagrams for a recent project using OMNI Graffle Pro, and people in the office who use Visio were quite impressed with those. The bottom line is that unless I get a timely response from their customer support this software will go to the trash. The time I was supposed to save by using their templates has been wasted because of their buggy software and lack of timely support. By the way, during this week I also contacted support from iTaskX 2, and got a response that was both timely and useful, and I also got an updated version of their software. Their software seems seems to be the solution for my project management needs. I also contacted OMNIWeb since it is no longer compatible with the newest release of Speed Download and Chartsmith since there are compatibility issues with Excel 2004. In both cases I received a more than satisfactory response within a couple of hours. Overall, my experience with ConceptDraw has been a big disappointment. I should add that I seldom contact customer support, and when I do is after reading their manual(s), FAQs, boards, etc., and not finding an answer to my particular situation.
A couple hiccups but excellent service

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Downloaded ConceptDraw Pro trial and was impressed by better than Microsoft Visio's user-friendliness. On top of the features, Odessa's pre-sales and post-sales support have been excellent. The pre-sales sorted out the wrong download URLs within 24 hours and pro-actively emailed the correct links with apology.
Hands-down better service than many software vendors out there. I'm even thinking of switching to their new Leading Project product.
