Color Splurge photo editor for coloring recoloring for iOS

Color Splurge gives you the tools to add grayscale and color effects to any photo in your library with the swipe of your finger. This fun and accessible photo editing tool includes multiple options for coloration, and lets you take a new photo or use photos you've already taken from various sources including Facebook and your phone.

The interface of Color Splurge is generally intuitive, making it easy to find your way around quickly. There are a couple of sample projects you can experiment with before starting your own, and there's also a short tutorial video that shows how to use all of the app's features. When you're ready to start working on your own photos, just start a new project and choose your photo. You'll then be taken to the working screen, which includes a copy of your chosen photo in grayscale, options for color, gray, and recolor across the bottom, and various tools across the top. You can adjust your brush size, and get to work, either restoring the original color to parts of your photo or by adding a different color. You can zoom in to fine tune the edges, and you can undo any coloration mistakes either with the undo tool or by going over it with gray.

Color Splurge is a free app, and ads do pop up with some frequency, but they're easy to get rid of, too. Overall, this program runs well and performs all of its stated functions. When you're done with a photo, you can share it on Instagram or Facebook, or save it to your photo albums.
