Or maybe you saw a website, and and now you need to convert that crazy hexa-ma-whatsit thing into a more common red-green-blue code. Color Converter has you covered.ColorConverter is a free Universal Binary app that launches quickly and gives you access to the MacOS X color picker (including favorite color swatches you've saved). It quickly gives you hexadecimal and RGB color codes for any color you choose using the color picker. You can also turn on the magnifying glass and get hex/RGB codes for any color your screen.

Using its magnifying feature I found the perfect match for a spot in an image wich I wanted to use as the body background color for a web page, hurrah! Also I use the first Abstract desktop picture which has a huge variety of colors, again I could find colors I wanted just by hovering the cursor over ones I liked. Also, if you think of colors in terms of mixtures of RGB, you can mix to your heart's content. Kudos and thanks to developer Perry Fjellman for a small and incredibly useful app. (I have no association of any kind with the author or his company, of which I'd never heard before discovering thhis gem on VersionTracker)
