This easy-to-use application extends the functionality of the Windows Clipboard but lacks a few features we'd like to see.

Offering quick access to copied items, ClipClipper's small, no-frills interface displays a simple list of copied items. The program automatically captures and stores unlimited Clipboard data but retains minimal formatting. You'll find options for editing, sorting, and protecting clips from deletion. You also can create and save any commonly used text or phrases and organize them into categories for easier access, though the ability to assign hot keys to stored clips would be nice. To insert clips, just click one and use the traditional paste method. What's more, you'll be able to copy or move clips between groups, sort group lists, and change the default font for entries. ClipClipper stays on top, so it's easier to move between the application and windows you're working in.

The program captured copied text easily, but it couldn't store images like similar clipboard programs. Overall, this 21-day trial is easy to use and may work well for anyone who does a lot of repetitive typing.

Simple, Light, convenient Copy tool

Cons
Shows oldest to newest clips and no option to reverse the list to put most recent on the top. Had to manually add shortcut to startup folder to automatically load after reboot. Be aware that it keeps everything until deleted!

I use this every day and wonder now how I did without it. It autosaves any text you copy. You can then click on the text you previously copied and then place your cursor where you want it and Ctrl-V or right-click Paste to paste it in. Add captions or protect clips you use often so you can reuse them between system shutdowns. Clear the rest with just two clicks. You can also organize your clips into groups. Simple but effective.

It does exactly what the author says it will. It runs in the system tray with a tiny footprint, and absolutely everything you copy is stored in it. You can selectively delete items not appropriate for retention, &you can mark items to never delete.
Cons
The only help file is online, so you would have to download it and store it somewhere. Plus it insists on using Internet Explorer, even though you may have a different default browser. On the other hand, you don't really need the help file.
Summary
This program is so easy to use and, like many single function programs, it does its job very well. It is flexible enough to store frequently used text, which you can add with its built-in editor - no copying required. I also really like the Group feature. You can store various types of text in a context of your own creation, such as a Firefox group, or a Home Improvement group. As an example, I copied my comment text from these text boxes (one box at a time - there are limitations), and grouped them as CNet. What's more, it saves multiple text copies so you can go back and get them if you need to. It will even let you change the order of the items in the window. You can also add your own captions to items, which are not pasted into your document. The captions allow you to add information about the copied text, such as what site you copied it from or why you copied it. Pasting is almost very simple. You select the item from the ClipClipper window and immediately switch to your document, website, address bar, or whereever, and paste with CTRL-V or a right-click. You do not need to perform the copy. As soon as you select text in the ClipClipper window, it is copied to the clipboard. If you select the wrong one, just move to the correct item and click it. I've been using it for a couple of months, now, and have had no issues with it at all. It sits in the system tray after you start it up (or add it to your startup folder, which is one of the settings available in the program's context menu). You will need to take two precautions, depending on your environment: closing it with the X in the corner of the window minimizes it to the tray, so you will need to either change that setting, or remember to exit it from the context menu; and, if you have copied sensitive information, you will need to delete it. You can use the standard Windows selection methods such as Shft-click and Ctrl-click to pick out what to delete. You can also mark certain items not to ever delete. That way, if you have a lot of unneeded entries, you can mark the couple you want to save, then do a mass delete with the clear button. Keep in mind that it is a text saver. It does not copy graphics, although it will copy the text on the graphic, such as a button that says "Write your own review." It has a basic graphical interface, nothing fancy. But then, copying and pasting isn't a fancy activity. It actually uses about 6MB of memory when running, but no appreciable CPU time. I'm very impressed with this little program and am recommending it to my friends and my colleagues.
