Bring back the Mac OS 9 desk accessory Note Pad to your modern Mac.
NotePad is a faithful reproduction of the functions available in the Mac OS 9 desk accessory Note Pad. This is not an attempt to build a better mouse trap; there are many more feature rich apps out there. This is simply intended to do only what the desk accessory from OS 9 did.

I don't know why no one has done this since the original. It is much less cluttering to have the pages stacked like that.
Very cool!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is very extremely cool, and fills a definite need! The only change I'd make is to allow the user to choose the font and font size in Preferences. Now, I'm NOT talking about making this into some kind of full-featured text editor, but, on the other hand, some of us don't see so good anymore, so the ability to choose which font and that font's size, would be a big help to some folks. Otherwise, I'd give this a big thumbs up!!
Finally a true notepad replacement!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been searching months for a replace for my long lost sys. 9 notepad. Nearly every notepad out there is overly complicated -- I don't need nested flow charts or a built-in mpeg player!
I want to be able to jot down random information and search for it quickly, just like I used to.
Notepad 2.5 does everything I want. I can create unlimited pages and search them case sensitive. I can even import my old sys. 9 notebook. And it's free. You can't beat that.
The only thing I can think to add is drag 'n' drop text editing.
Thanks for a great application. I'm going to go donate.
At last!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Switched from OS 9 to OS X (currently v.10.3.7) nine months ago and have missed OS 9's old Notepad every day since. I've just downloaded NotePad (v.2.5) and it seems even handier than the old. I'm a happy man, at last.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
My only complaint about the earlier version of NotePad was that it didn't pop up on my desktop as quickly as I wanted it to. This version brings up my notes much faster, making it all the more useful. Thanks for updating this very useful app!
This Version runs great!

Thanks for the wonderfully simple app!!
Super little app.
