Chat Heads for Mac is a customizable conversation app that integrates with Facebook, so you can chat with your friends the way you want to. Keep in touch, and carry on conversations through this app's convenient interface without actually being on Facebook.

To begin using this app, log in with your Facebook account. You can access the app via the bubble with a + icon inside it on the left-hand side of your desktop screen. Clicking the + brings up a scrollable and searchable list of your Facebook friends, and selecting one of them opens a window with your last few chat messages attached to a bubble with their profile picture. You can open multiple chat windows at once, and they'll all line up on the left side of your screen. If you want to hide all of your conversations and group all of your bubbles together, you can double-click one of the bubbles to group them all together. Clicking on the group again will cause them to separate out, so you can access individual conversations again. Other options for customization include removing the dock icon so that you have to hover your mouse on the left side of the screen to bring up the button to open a new chat.

Chat Heads for Mac is a free app, but there are several in-app purchases available. These include accessing your Contact List, unlocking Smileys, and unlocking Theme Pack #1 for $0.99 each. You can also unlock all features for $3.99.
