This platform-style arcade game breaks little new ground but still makes an entertaining diversion. Charlie II is quite reminiscent of games such as Super Mario Bros., though the character you control is a duck. You must guide your feathered friend around various obstacles and away from enemy birds and worms to collect enough coins and diamonds to advance to the next level. Though not cutting edge, the graphics are certainly good enough, and though the cheerful music didn't bug us, we still would appreciate the ability to turn it off. In fact, a lack of features is this app's biggest flaw, as the only customization options are a full-screen mode setting and three difficulty levels. In our tests, it took some time for us to get past even the game's first board, so we think the program will provide plenty of fun before you pass all six levels offered by the demo. If you're a fan of this type of game, Charlie II won't let you down.

Guide Charlie the Duck through levels and collect diamonds and coins.

In this smooth-scrolling, Mario-style platform game about a cute duck named Charlie, collect all the diamonds and coins you can find and watch out for dangerous creatures. Jump on enemies to defeat them. Charlie can swim and even dive down into the water to find hidden areas. The controls are simple: walk with the left and right arrow keys, hold down the Ctrl key to walk faster, and press the spacebar to jump. Sometimes you can dive into the water by pressing the down arrow.

This game supports six languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch. Version 3.1 includes two free training levels, meant for first-time players and young kids who have trouble playing the normal levels.
