To achieve this goal while keeping commercial demands in mind, companies are turning to catalysis in their efforts to accomplish such objectives. The App CatKit is designed to help the chemists with their daily tasks in the laboratory and also to identify suggestions about which catalysts could be used for reactions that would result in greener, more responsible chemical transformations that require less energy, and generate less waste. The right catalyst selection will result in chemical reactions that are more atom-efficient and will ultimately benefit the economy, the environment, and the society as a whole.The CAtKit app will allow the user to select a reaction class from a list, and will give the user suggestions about catalytic systems along with the main parameters to consider. The user can send an Email directly from the App to Umicore to receive more information or request a quote. The App also provides the user with some basic information about chemocatalysis and an overview of precious metal pricing.Also included is a tool allowing to easily calculate the molecular mass of a molecule. Simply dial the formula from click wheels and press calculate. Its simple and convenient.
