  very fussy on installing if you have any other canon software loaded - sometimes need to scan the registry to clear old remnants.<p>Canon really needs to improve the 'friendliness' of all their software - everything i have used from Canon has been difficult to use.

  So much easier than the clummsy scanner I had before. It is easy to hook up and install.

  Cons

  When my old computer crashed I had an almost impossible time reloading the software. I now have a new computer and am trying to load the scanner on it. Hopefully this will work. I know it is silly, but I am a little fustrated about how fast "new" products become outdated and there are no "new" updates available. The date on this update is April 2003 while it is now May 2006!

  A good way to waste time and energy, hoping a shoddy product will work.

  Cons

  I have been searching for over 8 days to try to get my scanner to work. Many are frustrated with the lack of help from canon. Many say they would never buy from canon again. I am beginning to feel the same way. Uninstall, install, over 10 times 10 diferent ways; no luck.
