Taking pictures with your Web cam has never been easier. Thanks to camsnap, your camera is displayed on your screen, and you can either take a picture instantly or you can set the timer giving you a chance to stand back from the cam or pose for that perfect picture.with the addition of the 6 picture preview on the right hand side of the application, you can pick out which picture you took was best. Version 2 adds timer function and 6 picture preview.

Straightforward interface, picture previews, VERY oldschool webcam looking snaps.

What you see in the preview is NOT what you get. Image preview is in the shape of a square but takes a rectangular snap. Requires you to make a folder MANUALLY just like A_Tech_Guy said. Very buggy - program wasn't well thought out.
Summary
If you still decide to try this and get the error message "cannot open file images static.bmp" follow these instructions: 1. Go to C:>Program Files>Rebellious Productions>Cam Snap 2. Create a new folder and name it images 3. Create a bmp image by using any photo/paint program and SAVE it inside the folder named images. You should now be able to save your snaps.

Small program, quck download. Allows use to delay picture taking with A_Tech_Guy's tweek.
Cons
Even with the tweek, I could not get the display to work, so I could take pictures but I just couldn't see what I was taking pictures of.
Summary
I would actually give it a try to see if it works on your system. Download it, follow A_Tech_Guy's instructions and try it. If it doesn't work, just uninstall.

when you click snap picture you get an error message that says unable to open image.why would it say this if you are just snapping a picture
