  You are in total control with this little Outlook add-in. I've had no problems with Outlook 2000 running on XP. You can control whether it automatically zips files, if you have it set to automatically zip, you can control the threshold of the attachments you want to be zipped (e.g., zip only those over 500 KB). And there's a button on the toolbars that also lets you turn it on and off. This is a nifty utility!

  Good idea, poor execution. bxAutoZip is on by default, which means that unless you toggle it off, it zips all attachments. I would like the option to set the default toggle state to off. Also, it comes with an encryption program called CryptoMite that I couldn't make disappear on its own. And I couldn't move the bxAutoZip button on the toolbar through the Customize feature. Lastly, it crashed Outlook on me, and that was the final straw -- I uninstalled it.
