Business Card Scanner is a handy app that lets you scan business cards and automatically create new contacts in the iOS Contacts app. It's not perfect, but it's still a great way to keep track of new people without worrying about keeping up with their business cards.

Business Card Scanner has a straightforward interface that's easy to figure out. Buttons let users select whether they want to scan a business card, scan a QR code, paste text, or open the in-app address book. Select the appropriate option and the app will take care of the rest, including guiding you through capturing the image and editing the contact information if needed. We tried the app on several business cards and had mixed results; more traditional cards fared well, but funky fonts seemed to throw Business Card Scanner for a loop. The QR scanner worked as predicted, and the text paste option lets you copy contact information from e-mail signatures or other sources and quickly turn it into a contact. Contacts appear both in the iOS Contacts app and Business Card Scanner's own address book. The app contains a User Guide, but its features are plenty intuitive. Overall, Business Card Scanner is a good option for people who collect a lot of business cards and need a quick way to digitize them, and we recommend it.
