Editors’ Review
AppGo calls Bubble Combo "a very classic bubble puzzle game," though the swiping motion and high-quality graphics make this up-to-date Android app fun and easy to play, too. Bubble Combo is free but ad-supported; it runs in Android 2.3.3 or higher and played nicely in Android 4.3.
Pros
Easy to play: The premise is basic: line up three or more of the same color balloons to pop them all, score points, and reshuffle the board.
Levels: Easy, Normal, and Hard levels keep Bubble Combo from becoming like cold bath water (we hate that!) and provide a challenge for every occasion and player. Each level has tons of games to unlock, too.
Inside the bubble: You can mute the game's music and sound effects instead of turning your phone's volume down. It's a minor point, unless you're waiting for an important message.
Cons
Adzooks: Banners and fullscreen ads occasionally interrupt the master tactician's flow, but they keep the balloons popping for free, so it's more of a win some, lose some than a Con, really.
Toil is trouble: Shouldn't you be working? (Or studying, or doing something other than playing Bubble Combos on your phone? Us neither!)
Bottom Line
Bubble Combos is fun and easy to play for all ages. Its progressively challenging games keep players interested and help keep your brain in top shape, too. And you thought you were just killing time!
