  Summary

  This has to be the worst ticketing system I have ever used. We all hate it where I work. This was a system the company went to because it is cheep, well you get what you pay for and that's not much. It does have lots of functionality, unfortunately none of it is very well implemented. It has the feel of half completed software. I would never recommend this ticketing system. It has lowered our productivity level for sure.

  Runs a little faster than some ticketing software over a WAN that has a small pipe

  Cons

  Hard to use, takes up too much screen space, very hard to setup searches, creates a lot of error, poor support, cannot sort most of the fields, somewhat slow on a LAN.

  Summary

  an MS spread sheet may be a better option.

  It reportedly provides some great features for our IT department

  ... but as users, everyone else hates the tool, which has real problems with usability : search (sucks comparing to that of Bugzilla), navigation (impossible to open more than one window in the browser), notification emails contents (what kind or moron designed it?), impossible to allow other people (like your manager) to access your tickets...

  Pros

  It is easy to use. Like a car easy to drive but with numara when you turn left it goes right. Good concept but horrible development.

  Cons

  Using software deployment is a hit and miss. It doesn't check to confirm that the software it is going to deploy is going to the correct system. It goes by IP address only and the agent isn't intelligent enough to tell the difference or that the IP has changed. It used to work until the changed their schema then they broke it and they are unable to fix it and don't really care to. Not to mention they are way over priced for something that only works 60% of the time.

  Summary

  Don't get this product. They have no idea where they are heading. I think BMC is trying to kill the product as they support for this product Numara footprints is almost non existent. We talked to the developers in france and they didn't have a clue on how to solve their issues. It was the try this try that approach. We were guessing for over 8 months. Time to shoot this dog.

• Extremely expensive support plans

  Pros

  The software works good in my opinion for our business, all the techs like the software.

  Cons

  10K for support with no other options, non-profit, government, don't matter. We called them 3 times in 3 years, that is about $3,333 per call.

  Summary

  They wouldn't budge and their attitude was take it or leave it. Well our company has chosen to no longer use this software. The employee in charge of support plans should be relieved from his job unless he can come up with another solution in my opinion.

  Usability is poor. Usability certainly hasn't been a focus for Numara. Can be expensive for what it gives in terms of value.
