BLISS WINDOWS XP for Gorilla Tag

BLISS WINDOWS XP for Gorilla Tag transforms the iconic Windows XP 'Bliss' wallpaper into a fully navigable 3D environment. This mod allows players to traverse the picturesque green hills and blue skies, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that is perfect for both relaxed exploration and large-scale tagging sessions. Integrated with the mod.io browser, it supports both PCVR and Quest headsets, ensuring an immersive experience optimized for VR locomotion. The expansive terrain encourages social interactions and provides a fresh perspective on the traditional gameplay dynamics of Gorilla Tag, moving away from the usual vertical forest layouts to a more open landscape.

As a custom map, BLISS retains the core gameplay mechanics of tagging and evading while introducing a unique setting that alters line-of-sight and pursuit tactics. The map is designed for multiplayer functionality, requiring participants to have it loaded for access. The visual aesthetics aim to replicate the 1996 photograph with vibrant textures and atmospheric lighting, enhancing the VR experience. Although it lacks new gameplay mechanics, the map excels in offering a spacious social environment that caters to both competitive and casual players.
