Bleacher Report: sports news, scores, & highlights for Android

With Team Stream by Bleacher Report you can create a personalized stream including teams, players, and leagues from all major sports that you can easily track, receiving constant news and scores. This app is optimized for larger tablets.

Pros

Covers all major sports: Team Stream tops most other sport apps thanks to its wide coverage, which enables you to track not only the big leagues like NBA, NFL, MLB, Nascar, Formula 1, or soccer or tennis, but also golf, rugby, wresting (WWE), and even sailing and horse racing. What's more, you can customize your stream to receive updates only for your favorite teams or players to avoid content overload.

Easy to set up: After a speedy install, the app lets you choose your favorite leagues, teams, and players to define your stream and then that's it, you're good to go. Registration is only optional.

In-depth coverage: Apart from breaking news, notifications, or lead stories, you also get cold hard facts, scores, standings, and even social media integration, which brings you tweets and Facebook posts from the official team websites as well as many star players. The news pours in quickly, faster than on most other sports channels.

Cons

Possibly overwhelming: While the app does a good job of fitting a lot of content into a neat interface, the huge number of teams you can follow can make this app a bit daunting at first.

Slightly awkward controls: Scrolling works smoothly, but the app hardly uses swiping controls, so switching between tabs has to be done through tapping.

Bottom Line

Team Stream brings you all the news and updates a sports fan can wish for, saving you the trouble of having to use a dedicated app for every sport you follow. While it may not have as many media features as other news apps, this one beats them in terms of convenience and, with its notifications and lightning-fast news and updates, is well worth the download.
