It work very well. The firewall has four levels: Trusting (Firewall off), Cautiour (block some), Nervous (block most) and Paranoid (block all unsolicitad inbound trafic). It still has a Application Control. When a application begins install, it alert you. Then, if the applications is legitimate you enable "install mode", else you can terminate or block. After you install some legitimate program, run the "Base Line Applications" to add the new program in the authorizeted list. Your application list is based in files and not in applications names. With it, I can play games on-line tranquil.

Your Application List in the "Base Line" is based in files. Not in programs. This make difficult the understanding.

Un-trustworthy allows all kinds of trojans and spyware to pass warns you of nothing - updates are useless. I would recommend it to my enemies if I had one.

Crashes a lot, allows trojans adwares, spywares, conflicts with other software. DO NOT USE

I am on Windows XP, but have also tried it on 98/95 and to say the least this program is superb. For anyone looking for a way of protecting their computer from hackers and anyone trying to get in, even cookies and port surfers! Give it a try, it's worth it.

This program is heavily flawed. We tried to install it on a high profile project. It caused so many problems with the systems that we had to abandon the solution. Escalated the issues to the point where ISS consultants flew out to work on the software and they couldn't get it working. This software is very poor. If looking for a nice personal firewall, choose Sygate.
