Three page views allow the user to inspect regional libraries of bird songs, learn songs through multiple choice interactions, and test the accuracy of identification by taking a 20 question BIRD SCHOLAR exam. Separate libraries can be selected for Birds of the Eastern, Midwestern, and Western United States, and for habitats that select forest/woodland, grassland, marsh, and water birds. The app is a particularly powerful tool for teaching bird songs to young children, which we believe is related to a child's exceptional ability to learn human languages.
