...$100<br />This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Peak LE 6 is a huge upgrade over previous versions. I use Pro myself, but even the LE edition offers playlist editing, podcast publishing, Voice Over ducking, time compression/expansion, full Red Book CD mastering (even with CD-TEXT), and higher quality sample rate conversion than most apps around. Apparently, it even include WireTap Pro, which is a $30 value itself. There's no better app for under $100 that offers integrated sample editing. I read a complaint here about their support but completely disagree. There are tons of software pirates out there and it's reasonable that a company would want to protect their software to ensure they can afford to support and develop it. I'm sure if you called them and explained your situation, they would happily give you another authorization if you lost one. Anyway, I've had nothing but great experiences with BIAS and they actually pick up the phone when you call. In this day when everyone is cutting services, it's nice to know that there's someone there to help over the phone Ã¢??Ã‚Â though I have to say, I've had very few problems.

I have gone back and forth with them after a hard drive crash, but the software no longer works on my system no matter what they have tried. In addition, their support has been glacialy slow, typically taking up to 3 days to respond to each round of emails. In addition, when it did work, all of the menus were cluttered with unusable ghosted "pro" features, many times appearing before the working LE features, slowing you down while you have to scroll past all of their advertising.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />The program is acceptable, and does what it says, but was a major step down from the System 7 software I was using. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs (unless you never have computer problems) -- Here's why: You have to contact the creators to get your software to work. It doesn't work out of the box. First, the software comes with a Serial Number and an authorization code on the included card. The code does not work!!! You have to contact them to get the software to work. If you don't have a fast internet connection, this means the program won't be operating right for OVER TWO WEEKS! Also be aware that a simple OSX crash will invalidate the codes and the program will stop working again. I had to switch drives to get more space for OSX, and it's now 2 weeks I've been fighting with BIAS to get my authorization code for the program, and they won't give it to me. Their automated system tells me the program's already registered, and their customer service department doesn't do anything but send robot responses. This is consistent WITH ALL SOFTWARE I have bought from them! And I can confirm that the software attempts to communicate without my permission -- even though I don't have an internet connection. Also with Peak, their "manual" was incorrect on major issues and I never did get a response from the company as to why the program wasn't functioning as detailed.
