It does nothing at all. I wasted time and 2 CDs trying to get this thing running, one from this site and one from another mirror.
Summary
I booted from this CD and a screen came up with some options to be selected by using the up and down arrows. The screen disappeared after 2 - 3 seconds and the arrows hadn't moved anything. Then I got a black screen with a flashing dash on the top left. After 5 minutes I hit Ctrl Alt Delete and was able to boot into windows. I tried this 3 times. With my other CD downloaded from some mirror I eventually did get a desktop, but most of it was in Japanese. I used to think that Cnet tested their recommended downloads. Apparently this is not the case!
