Bejeweled Blitz represents an incredibly fun, addictive, three-in-a-row game thanks to its social features and easy-to-learn but difficult-to-master gameplay. Though games like Candy Crush may have upped the ante in the Match 3 genre, this true classic still offers hours of fun for you to explore. If you've played any similar games without playing this original, it's time to give it a shot.

If you've never played Bejeweled Blitz, the goal is easy to figure out. You slide matching jewels to make a group of three (or more) and they will explode. They're replaced by new gems and you repeat it until time runs out. The gems look beautiful and are rendered with good detail. The game lets you compete against computer characters or connect on Facebook to try to beat your friend's high score. It gives you helpful hints when it thinks you're stuck, but we found they could be more distracting than useful. Some of the game's power gems throw you off from finding the connection, too. You can unlock power-ups that let you do more in the game, but it would take a lot of playing to rack up enough money to buy more than a few of them. If you don't want to wait, the game will let you buy them with real world cash, too.

Bejeweled Blitz looks good and it's fun to play. If you're a fan of Match 3 games, you should definitely try this one.
