Mankind has been virtually wiped out by an extraterrestrial armada! Only you, piloting the "Annihilator", can help save the solar system from ruthless alien domination. Bedlam 2 is a fast action, arcade-style game with forty-five levels of blistering game play. As you blast away at the invading forces, your ship moves along the bottom of the screen while you try to avoid a barrage of enemy firepower, collisions with attacking ships and the occasional chunk of floating space debris. By racking up points along the way, you earn much-needed extra ships, and can even capture hunks of gold bars released when you've demolished the ships of some of the greedy trespassers. Other fun and nasty surprises materialize during your long mission to free our galaxy from this evil infestation.
It's a very good idea for a game but the final product is very poorly done. It reeks of a first time game writer. The graphics are ok overall but have many points where I could do better with 15 minutes and Adobe Photoshop. The sounds are kind of one dimensional and become very tiresome after a while. The preferences are hard to control and seem to be like they were written by a 14 year old. It's something I would not spend hard earned money on. Overall I would say try to polish a game more before releasing it.
Not bad, but certanly not great...

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />First off, the ship needs to respond faster. right now its snail pased and so is the rate of fire.
also the respawn rate after getting killed must faster with a tempoary shield when you come back as i too often get killed the recond i return into the game.
futher the enemy AI is set to "cheap" as they have the habbit of hanging around at the bottem making it imposible to hit them and often go into beserk where they keep "falling" from the top of the screen wich also a rather cheap move as they have to habbit of sticking to sides making shooting them more a matter of luck then skill...
work out these issues and the game would be MUCH better... right now i prefer my free "Alien Scum" space invaders clone java game on my Sony Ericsson T310 over this one...
