This game stands as an innovative take on the tried-and-true chess formula. The goal of Battleship Chess is to earn the most points by damaging and destroying enemy battleships. Various types of ships can move only in certain ways. Various power-ups make your life easier and safer (sonar detects submarines). You also can play special cards during battle that provide various benefits to your fleet (for instance, to repair your ship). The interface is far from perfect, with graphics both too small and imprecise, though you can zoom in on the board to get a better view. The game has a great tutorial with samples. The trial version only allows you to play for one hour. If you love turn-based strategies, this game is worth a try.
What’s new in version 2.2
Version 2.2 has made game Vista compatible, changed high score board to prevent cheating, and added a 3-battle option.
Good graphics for a small amt of memory; Definately worth $20 for the full version (free upgrades for life); 1 player/2 player/internet/LAN. They just released a new version that offers more game options & fixed some previous bugs.
Cons
Surpisingly addictive - I've played this game more (since I bought it a year ago) than all of my other games combined.

Pros
Cons
Upon first run, it froze on the first screen, even the task manager had a very hard time closing it and getting my desktop back. Why do people bother to make programs that don't work?
Play a marine strategic game, command your fleet and upgrade the ships to win the war.
The classic game of Battleship has grown up. Ships move, submarines dive, and minesweepers sweep for mines. A simple upgrade system allows you to advance your ships as the game goes on. Choose from 5 periods in naval history as you fight single-battle or multi-battle wars. All beautifully animated in 3D. For 1 to 2 players.
