• Not free, but free to try

  Pros

  As a standalone it doesn't work, you need "Useful file Utilities" by Replsoft and that one does a great job, but: only for 15 times free, then you have to pay.

  Doesn't belong to free, but to "Free to try", would be maybe the best if it was for free :(

  Summary

  Leave it when you want something for a long time, download "Useful file utlities" by replsoft if you want to change large prtions of long texts over thousands of files, but be smart: You can use it only for 15 times

  Not a stand alone utility. Sorry not gonna download some random file from some random place. I come here because these files are all tested malware free.

  it requires "usefull file utilities" for it to work and "ufu" is a comercial programm. this is not freeware.

  Summary

  never will use this ever again. this thing is a freeware plugin and noone cares about the needed software: shareware programs.

  if you like to do things the hard way and got much time left in your life for useless things, then this is just perfect.

  first of all, this isn't gonna install just for its own - you'll need to download another program (a file manager replacement) to be able to use it at all. <p>then you have to start that program (which isn't freeware and greets you with a nag screen) to actually use the replacer thing. <p>and last but not least this whole thing is very unfunctional - whole directories can't be just marked and searched for files and strings, it reports back that only individual files can be searched. so i thought that using the find-function would maybe allow me to search for certain files, so i could add them as a list, BUT there's no drag&drop, so i would've had to individually add every file to search for a string in. that's just ridiculous for programs with version numbers of 2.9 and 3.4, not yet taking the faulty language and other flaws into account. a program in alpha or beta stage may be like that but not one which would even had to be payed for. i uninstalled them again instead. i'm off faster and easier searching and replacing manually.

  "Batch Replacer" v2.8 is an Add-on that Requires a $30 program named "Useful File Utilities" for it to work! Stay away from ReplSoft - they use FALSE ADVERTISING!
