• Does what it says - but with caveats

  - Provides a simple login screen, with instructions on how to edit any webpage that requires password access - Completely free

  Cons

  - As mentioned by others, the documentation is somewhat sparse - I found a bug in the program, which I corrected (see summary) - Needs to be updated to be compatible with version 5.x of PHP (mysqli commands)

  Summary

  This is a simple set of scripts that works, but there are some caveats. First and foremost, make sure you read the "readme.php" file. It contains directions for creating the user/password file. This MUST be done MANUALLY before you use the program. Also, there is a bug in the "login_config.php" file. There is a reference to "login_app.php" that must be changed to "login.php" or else the link created in the password reset email won't work. Finally, someone should go through this program and implement the mysqli versions of commands, before the mysql commands are completely deprecated.

  More features than the name would imply but easy to customize and build on

  Aesthetics could be improved but might make it harder to modify...easy to work with as it is now. Only works on PHP sites. .NET or CF version would be nice

  This is a great way to jumpstart a development project that needs user authentication or add to an existing site.
