Used Basic Inventory Control for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Basic Inventory Control helps populate and track a business' products. With a fundamental set of tools to accomplish this goal, even novices will step right into this useful program.
The program's very plain-looking interface pushed us into experimenting, since its Help file and Tutorial were vaguely worded and directionless. Thankfully, the inventory manager is broken down into a few simple commands for creating and tracking inventory. The success of the program hinged on building up a product database. After we'd given all our stocks a name, product number, and price, we were free to manage our inventory. Ordering, shipping, and allocating these products was its primary function and was done by inputting various ordering information (such as quantity and recipient) or setting up a bar code scanner. Manual input immediately reflected in our inventory, though we didn't have the ability to test a scanner. We were particularly excited about the program's feature that sets up a reorder point on low stock. At first we thought it wasn't working because we didn't receive a notice, but were quickly pleased to discover that the program automatically reorders low stock. Thanks to its simple set of controls and intuitive menus we never felt overwhelmed while managing our inventory.
Basic Inventory Control comes with at 30-day trial. The program installs desktop icons without permission and leaves folders upon uninstall.
