Not transfer MMS. I gave a try to this tool but no success. I'm using iPhone 4 (running on iOS6) and it simply did not detect my phone. Now finally, I am settled with another similar tool named iPhone Message Transfer: http://software.bigbigsoft.com/iphone-contact-sms-backup and it lived up to my expectations. The only thing missing is that it (iPhone Message Transfer) does not transfer SMS to computer in ANTS file format. But still would recommend it! PS I'm not advertising this program. I just found it useful and thought of sharing with others. I would also advise you to try before you buy.
Summary
I like it so far. With this powerful iPhone Messages Transfer program, I can transfer my messages to a new iPhone 5S from my old iPhone 4S without any message lost. It merge all the messages perfectly on my new phone. Awesome! To sumup, a must have software if you care your messages on iPhone.

It did work as described - "supports iPhone SMS to computer transfer & export, but also enables users to transfer SMS back to your iPhone...". But if your guys are not satisfied with its limited function, and want to transfer various iOS files, such as photos, music, videos, contacts, SMS...and so on, I think you should try Amazing iPhone Transfer. It helps me a lot in transferring files between iPhone and iPad, New iPad and my old iPad, iPhone and my friend's iPhone 5s. That's amazing! :)

Pros
It was fast. I had 37,000 texts and I was finished about 2 minutes after I started copying files. I just took a few minutes. Much easier than having to use iTunes and get stuck with ALL the old junk you had on your old phone. I had over 10,000 photos that I did not want on my new phone. But the only way iTunes would let you get your SMS texts was to restore the whole backup. Worth the $25.
Cons
I had to figure out that you have to download your database from your iTunes backup before you try to import your sms texts. It was not evident from the icons where you shold start. You had to click between the Device you had connected by USD and then click on the Local Database Folder befoer the menu optiosn were able to be selected. What was annoying is that they force you to buy the $5 download insurance. I did not see a way to remove it from my order. I did NOT need to pay then $5 to save my registration for a year.

having just migrated from an old iPhone 3GS to a Galaxy S3, and being a bit slow on such techie things, I was astonished at how quick and easy this was! I've been reading numerous opinions for the last 3 days on how to do this - everyone disagrees on what's best, but admits that there are advantages and disadvantages to all methods. Backuptrans iPhone SMS Transfer took 3 minutes from zero to done (including downloading the free software on both phone and PC), was almost effortless and did everything flawlessly. Why isn't everyone simply doing this?! HIGHLY recommended.

I am about to get a samsung note 2 for my wife as a mother's day gift. I was scratching my head about how I was going to transfer all her contacts et. al., (without her knowing since it is a suprise) from her current iphone 4s to the note 2 then I stumbled on this website 10 minutes ago.
