We'd give more points to this classic board game if it was freeware, but it's simply not worth the price of admission. Backgammon Deluxe struggles with an unattractive interface and fairly clunky controls. While you can customize the color of the board and background, you can't manipulate gammon colors or shapes. The graphics are blocky and basic. We were frustrated by the unnecessary additional clicks while rolling the die. To roll, you click the "roll die" button; but to move, you have to click the die again, and then click the gammon you want to advance. Overall, backgammon fans may enjoy this program for its simplicity, but there are plenty of online options that may prove more pleasing to the eye and easier to play.

Pros
It makes me somewhat almost nauseated to see people trying to sell basic programs without putting any damned effort into designing the interface. I otherwise love simple programs, but this makes me SICK.
