Azemus FS is a simple program that makes true synthesizer from your PC. Since you're able to play the synth using your PC keyboard, it becomes your favorite musical instrument. You can plug MIDI keyboard into your computer to play the synth (Azemus FS is able to recognize dynamic MIDI messages and can manage the note volume according to velocity you play), and also you can connect external sound module to your computer if necessary (hardware synth, drum machine or groove box, for example) to play it with an ordinary computer keyboard.
