You are protected from some downside risk. If the negative return is in excess of the protection level, there is risk of substantial loss of principal. With Structured Capital Strategies, you can choose to invest in the Structured Investment Option (SIO) or in Variable Investment Options. Structured Capital Strategies, a variable and index-linked deferred annuity contract is a long-term, tax deferral financial product designed for retirement purposes..
