Although it requires a bit of poker skill, this simple game is largely based on luck. Awesome 3-Card Poker's main interface is rather cluttered, and the graphics are nothing special. That said, we were amused by the fact the game occasionally spouts random quotations from such popular films as Field of Dreams and 2001: A Space Odyssey. This game is played using the same hands as other poker games, except you only get three cards and can't exchange them. Based on the three cards you see, you decide whether to fold or whether to bet against the dealer's facedown cards. Therefore, luck plays a large part in Awesome 3-Card Poker. While the program's feature set is by no means enormous, you can reconfigure the dealing speed, add more money to your bankroll, and change the betting amount. The miserly three-day trial period is a little short for our tastes, but inexperienced poker players might find this game a decent learning tool.
