Avatar Fight for iOS

Avatar Fight is a free, low-budget fighting game in which the outcome is decided for you. It is easy enough that some may enjoy creating a character that can defeat most of the competition, but most who play Avatar Fight are going to be disappointed.

You can sign up for an account with Avatar Fight or register as a guest, and then choose from only eight avatars. Unlike most "avatar"-based games, you cannot customize your character. You have to choose one of the limited number of character designs. There are no instructions, nor is there any background as to the purpose of the game. Once you sign up, you click to fight either one level-one character or six level-one characters, all at once. If you choose the former option, you can watch your character fight. They often lose. If you click on the "Fight All" button, you don't watch anything and the game tells you the outcome, usually some combination of W/L/W/L/L/L. Your strength and stats as a character play some role in the outcome, but with no button pressing it often appears to be set randomly. You can level up, create teams, enroll in tournaments, and even farm for energy or "train," but none of these involve any additional skill or effort. The training feature, for example, involves clicking on a training option -- and once you click, the training is over. It's not clear why it does not just level your character, automatically.

Avatar Fight is a game made solely for those who prefer to have all outcomes decided for them with an algorithm. For a fighting game, it's not clear who Avatar Fight truly appeals to, but it certainly will not appeal to most.
