• Works great to join AVI videos

  Fast way to join AVI videos (3 clips 400MB each) - took about a minute on a 1.6gHz W7 laptop. O/p quality appears the same as that of the components.

  Works perfectly and - most important - does not compress or rencode, i.e. no loss of quality!

  Cons

  Not the most user-friendly, but probably due to the number of functionalities and numerous options. It's a - free - professionnal software, not for everyone...

  Summary

  Excellent! Unbelieveable this is free. Most of the free programs are either too limited or just crap... Thanks to the developpers.

• Good program for editing movies..

  Pros

  Software works great for both re-encode all types of movie files. It works great to combine or merge all types of movie files.

  Cons

  Unfortunately it does not work for cutting movie. Or better, it cuts movies but you can not give the size to be cut. (or I could not get it to work). Otherwiese, it would be worth 5 stars.

  Yet the program is free and worth a download and install it for every needs.

  Pros

  This is amazing for converting flv files on a slow computer, and it gets the aspect right for iPod Touch. (Tip: If you're just putting videos on your iPhone/iPod, convert them on the "low" setting. Small files, and half the conversion time!)

  Cons

  The interface is not the most elegant. But who cares? It works!

  Summary

  Out of several different free programs I have tried, this is the only one that does not freeze, crash, or take hours to convert a 43-minute flv. The conversion-quality option makes a big difference in the time it takes to do the job.

  Pros

  Join the files without re-encoding. This is very important and few softwares are doing so (they have to re-incode). Re-incoding is a nightmare since you more than often lose quality (even when you know how to parameter the reincoding function).

  Cons

  Nothing. Nothing (twice to fill the box with at least 10 characters).

  Summary

  Again - This software is just perfect! and it's free.... Excellent work! Congratulations to those who develop it.
